Ministers to The Sick and Homebound visit our Parishioners who are hospitalized, living in assisted living or nursing homes, or who are homebound. These Ministers conduct a Pastoral visit with the individual and carry the Eucharist to them weekly.

To become a Minister to The Sick, one must be an active, registered member of Ascension Parish for a minimum of one year; have the approval of the Pastor; and complete the necessary application forms, interview and Diocesan basic training.

Following this, a new Minister will "shadow" an experienced Minister for a period of time, be commissioned by the Bishop and be issued an identification badge by the MTS of Ascension. If interested, please contact Pat Apfelthaler at 254-2865.
