Ascension Catholic Council of Women (ACCW)
This organization is open to all women of the parish. Our motto is "Operare est Orare", To Work is To Pray. We sponsor a parish day of recollection as well as many programs, activities, and social events which serve not only for fellowship, but also as fund raisers for benefit of the community. Ascension Brass Ensemble
The Ascension Brass Ensemble, established in 2003, consists of 5 or 6 highly experienced musicians (2-3 trumpets, one french horn, one trombone, one tuba). Although rehearsals are here, the Ensemble plays rarely at Ascension Church, but play mostly "outside the walls" at assisted living facilities, catholic campus ministry, etc. Contact Deacon Tom Stauffacher 242-4504, proftom369@cfl.rr.com for information on performances, openings, or auditions.
Bingo
Come play Bingo in our spacious, smoke-free Parish Hall, on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:15 pm--10:30pm.
- Cost to play: $14/single pack, 3 optional specials available
- Prizes: $50, $100, or $250 during the night
- 2 breaks during the night; covered outdoor smoking areas
- SNACKBAR open at 4:30 pm (burgers, hotdogs, chili, sandwiches, salads, cake, & more)
- Free beverages, popcorn. Donations accepted.

Fall Festival
Come enjoy the fun and festivities at our annual Fall Festival, November 13-15, 2009! The Fall Festival is an opportunity for the community to gather to have fun, and at the same time, raise funds for tuition assistance (without which some students could not otherwise attend Ascension Catholic School!)

International Festival
Celebrating the rich diversity of our Ascension Catholic Community! This year's Festival is April 26, 2009, beginning at the 11:30 am Mass with multi-cultural liturgy and music. Food sampling, basket raffles, and multicultural entertainment (including music, dance and native costume fashion parade) follows in the Cafetorium. Knights of Columbus

Spiritual Library (located in the back of Church)
The library is open after Mass on Saturdays and Sunday morning. Books, videos, and DVD's for all ages are available. Contact Catherine Gokoolsingh 259-1848.
Mom-to-Mom Sale
Join us for the 4th annual Mom-to-Mom Sale during Festival Weekend, November 14, 2009 from 7am-noon in the Parish Hall. Sponsored by the FISH/ Mothers Morning Out Program, the sale features tables rented to individual moms who are selling their gently loved baby/children's items at bargain prices! $1 donation admission, raffle tickets available, prizes include: a 2-night Cocoa Beach Hilton Stay-cation Package; a 2-night stay at Buena Vista Palace-Orlando; a 2-night stay at Hilton Clearwater; $50 gift certificate for a KidZone Birthday Party, & more! Parish Picnic

Philippine Community
To promote the Philippine community of Ascension; not only to keep our heritage alive and share it with our children, but also as a means of sharing our heritage with our community. We meet four times a year for social events which are announced in the bulletin. Contact Pat Apfelthaler 254-2865
Religious Articles Store
Open Sundays after the morning Masses. Celebrates 50 years, along with the parish! Offers rosaries, crucifixes, holy cards, greeting cards, holy water bottles, music CD's of parish musicians, books, plush "Holy Bears," and various gifts for baptisms and first Holy Communions. Retirees
For all who are 55 years of age or over and retired. Meets Mondays in the morning, starting with prayer followed by a social of various games and card playing. Scouts
Boy Scouting focuses on strengthening character, personal fitness, and good citizenship of our young men. Boy Scout Troop 373 is always eager to welcome new members ages 11-17. If you are interested in finding out more about our active program, attend one of our meetings Monday nights in the Ascension cafetorium from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
Vietnamese Community
To promote the Vietnamese community of Ascension, we provide ethnic food for the Fall Festival and International Festival, and participate in whole community events. We offer Vietnamese Class on Sunday afternoons to teach our children Vietnames language skills. Once a month we celebrate mass in Vietnamese, and have an wonderful Choir. Whole Community Events
Besides all-parish social events like the Parish Picnic and the Fall Festival, Ascension offers several all-parish events a year that include a great meal, Liturgy of the Word, and fun in faith and learning. Wonderful Wednesday Dinners
Wonderful Wednesday Dinners are offered from September through May, but not during Advent or Lent. This is an opportunity to have a reasonably priced meal with your own family and with the Ascension family. Although the meal is open to all who register, it is especially inviting to working families with children in Wednesday evening Religious Education.
Dinners are hosted by a different parish ministry each week, and are served from 5:30-6:30 pm in the school cafetorium. Reservations are required by calling 254-1595 x1 or by signing the pad in the parish hall by noon of previous Tuesday.
Soup Suppers are offered in the parish hall during Lent after the 5:30 Stations of the Cross. This is an opportunity to share a sacrificial meal with others. A freewill donation is requested to cover costs.
