Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
People are praying 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in our Adoration Chapel. Hundreds of parishioners have signed up to pray one hour a week. The Adoration Chapel is located near the entrance to the Ministry Building. All are welcome to visit Our Lord here.

Contemplative Prayer
The Ascension Contemplative Prayer Group is part of the  worldwide Contemplative Outreach Network of Individuals and Small Faith Communities committed to living the contemplative dimension of the Gospel.  The common desire for divine transformation, primarily expressed through a committment to a daily centering prayer practice, unites our international and interdenominational community.   The purpose of this ancient prayer practice is to bring the experience of the love of God into the world in order to transform the human consciousness for our time. If you would like to learn about this great adventure into deeper prayer, taught by Jesus, please join us in the 'silence of God's love' Tues. evenings at 7pm or Friday mornings at 9am room 304 in the ministry building.  Contact: Pamela Lackie 259-2431

Ministry of Intercessions
This is a spiritual ministry in which we offer prayers and intentions to God for our community and the world. Here at Ascension we have a ministry especially for our parishioners who are unable to participate in regular liturgies and events at the church: our shut-ins, sick, disabled, those in nursing homes, and senior citizens. This ministry enables everyone to join in a chorus of praise and bring God's blessing to our parish and our world. Each month we receive a list of intercessions to pray for. Prayer for the Poor
Every Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. in Our Lady's Chapel, Ascension's JustFaith Community sponsors a service of praise and petition to God:

• for the all the poor of the world and all who are called to aid them and walk with them
• for the week's special intention, such as the needs of the people of a particular nation, child victims of war, or people who have lost their jobs.
• Each service includes Scripture, music, prayers that provide food for quiet reflection, and some education about that week's special intention.
