Hi Ascension Church Family,

This Sunday (April 28th) at the 11:30 am Mass, our church family has a double celebration.

• We are celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of our parish
• And we are having our Farewell Celebration for Sisters Immaculata and Joseph.

Bishop Noonan will preside at the celebration.

You all are invited to this Big Event.

After Mass, there will be a reception in the Parish Hall to meet briefly with the Sisters. A variety of hors d'oeuvres, a celebratory cake and beverages will be available for your enjoyment while you wait your turn to say farewell.

The Parish Cookbook will be for sale in the hall for $12 (all proceeds go to our Beloved Sisters). There will be a designated gift box for farewell letters and cards to be dropped in. They will not have time to open the cards during the reception. Donation Jars will be placed conveniently to collect funds to help with the Sisters needs in settling into their new cottage in Ireland.

Please be considerate of the Sisters and your fellow parishioners. We cannot all fit in the Parish Hall at one time. After you have had a snack and bid farewell please move on to the other festivities to allow the rest of the parishioners a chance to come in.

The Buescher Center will also be open. If the lines are long in the Parish Hall you can go in the Buescher Center and have refreshments while you wait for the crowds in the Hall to disperse.

Before or after you go to the Parish Hall Reception you can join the Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary in the big tent on the south side of the campus. There will be games for the children, music, hamburgers, hot dogs, an Italian Ice Vendor, popcorn and beverages.

This is a Joyous Celebration of the Founding of our wonderful Parish Community and the Blessing it received in having Sr. Immaculate and Sr. Joseph serve with such dedication for so long.
