THIS WEEKEND: Knights of Columbus Father McGivney Food Drive
|
|
Please help your Knights of Columbus celebrate Father McGivney Week (August 9-16), Founder of the Knights of Columbus, by donating canned food to the Social Concerns Food Pantry, August 14-15. Food collection will take place during the Masses (out front) as is done with the food collection at the beginning of each month. Fr. Michael J. McGivney (officially declared “blessed” at his beatification Mass held on Oct. 31. 2020 by Pope Francis) established the Knights of Columbus in 1882 at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut. Since then, the Knights have grown to a membership of nearly two million strong worldwide, assisting local communities through national efforts and global outreach with works of charity.
Thank You and God Bless! SK Eddy Merlet, Grand Knight (Council 14573)

What is ALPHA?
Alpha is a video driven series consisting of 11 sessions and a retreat exploring the fundamentals of our Christian faith. Each session unpacks a new question inviting all participants to explore life's big questions. Alpha provides everyone with an opportunity to deepen their faith experience in a nonjudgmental, community building environment. Our current Alpha team is in need of additional members to help run this wonderful program.
Would YOU consider becoming a part of our team? The Alpha team meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30 in the Parish Halls. Please consider joining us as we plan for the upcoming Alpha which will begin on October 6th and run through December 15th. Please note that no holidays will be interfered with in our planning or running of this program. For more information about becoming a part of our team please call: Pam Flannery @ (321) 557-7121. |
