For Palm Sunday Weekend

• If you're able, prepare for Palm Sunday by grabbing some palms from your yard or creating paper palms and putting them in your prayer area or even decorating your door (see some ideas here)

• Bulletins and coronavirus prayer cards are now available on a table in the front of the church.  (Cick here for the bulletin from our website if you don't want to go out.)
• Some people have been asking if Palms might be left outside the church so that people could come by and pick up. Fr Eamon would like to do that, but then was reminded that he might be facilitating group gathering especially Sunday morning. The diocese ruling on this is that the blessed palms will be given out the first Sunday we are back in church.

Please remember that you can be an evangelizer from your home by forwarding our Sunday video Mass to friends and family members who are non-churchgoers. At this time of national crisis we can assume that many people who may have not paid much attention to God or Church may be more open to doing so now. Also they may have more time to do so

Do remember that Church has not closed down, it has just been deployed and you are very much invited to be a part its ongoing mission to share the Good News of Jesus in tough times.
 

Outreach & Connection

- Thank you to everyone for bringing donations before the "safer at home" time frame begins. We had 6 bins full of donations over the two days.
- The Center for Social Concerns was able to help 80 families this week, even with it's limited hours and working to serve in a safe way.
- Connection: Four people who do not have computers have contacted us seeking information about the parish. We will be reaching out to them and keeping them updated. If you know of anyone else who doesn't have a computer but would like to know what is going on, please let us know by emailing info@ascensioncatholic.net and we can keep them updated as well.
