Candy Call for October 29 Trunk or Treat

Please consider donating candies or goodies to help Knights of Columbus make our annual Trunk or Treat successful for our kids.  There will be a candy drop-off container at the entrance of the church October 16th-17th and October 23rd-24th.  Thank you!

New Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) Training 

The Diocese of Orlando training for new EMHC is scheduled for Saturday November 6, 2021 from 9:00am until noon at Ascension Parish Hall. Prerequisites are that you must be 16 yeas old or older; be confirmed; be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church; if married, must be married in the Church or have had your marriage blessed by the Church; and that you be a registered member of Ascension Parish.

The Diocese has issued procedures for applying for the training. A written application must be submitted two weeks prior to the training date and be signed by the Pastor. No walk‐ins will be allowed. To accomplish this, contact Frank Conley at 321‐255‐ 2392 or by email: conley257@aol.com no later than  October 20, 2021. He will take your application, provide information on other requirements that are necessary and answer any questions you might have.

Notes for November:
There will be two Food Collections in the month of November.  The first Sunday of the month Food Collection is 11/6 &  11/7. The weekend of 11/13 & 11/14 will be our Annual  THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE. Bags for this weekend will be given out by Social Concerns Volunteers. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
