Today’s Gospel raises the age-old issue of the relationship between Church and State. Many people, perhaps including yourself, believe strongly that Church should stay out of politics. Others believe equally strongly that the Church should speak truth to political power just as the prophets in the Bible spoke God’s truth to the political rulers of their day. Of course, the deeper issue in today’s Gospel might be: To what extent does each of us recognize God’s authority in every area of our lives? (Click here to keep reading Father's Bulletin Column)

Mission Sunday celebrated this weekend

Choose to be a missioner from home! This year the Mission Office Annual Collection will be done virtually. We need your help to make our message go viral.  We need to share the successes of our many years of generous giving through the telling of true stories. We invite you to take a few minutes to open the video link attached and reflect on its message and then send us whatever donation you can offer us to continue supporting our mission work in the Dominican Republic. The second invitation is to share the link with as many others as you have in your personal contacts. Can we count you in as a bearer of Good News in our Annual Collection marathon?

Click here to donate online  or donate in person at Masses this weekend. Please make all checks out to "Ascension Catholic Church" adding "Mission Collection" in the memo line.

Let us remember always: “...it’s a blessing to be able to give.”
