While we may be staying at home to show love for others and stop the spread of the Coronavirus, we can show love in other ways as well.
Blood Mobile The Big Red Bus (also known as the Blood Mobile) will be at Ascension Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 5th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. You will need to go online and set up a donation appointment so that all the proper safety protocols can be maintained.

Delivering Hope and Love Mrs. Diana Cassidy, a third-grade teacher at Ascension Catholic School, and Mrs. Pamela Gearhart have teamed up to help our community reach out a senior in one of the many senior nursing facilities in our community. While it started as a vision to have children write to these beloved children of God who cannot have visitors right now, we're hoping that all members of the community will take the opportunity to write an encouraging letter/note/card and drop it by the church between April 26th and May 3rd. Click here for more information.
Ascension Social Concerns Thank you to everyone who is continuing to drop off donations either in the brown bins outside the front doors of the church or at the rear door of the Food Pantry (1238 Aurora Rd.) Mon – Fri, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thank you also to parishioners who have made masks for Social Concerns volunteers so they can assist people in a safe manner. The Food Pantry is in need of canvas shopping bags. If you have any, please feel free to drop them off at the church or at the Social Concerns Food Pantry.
These are just some opportunities we know of in our community. If you know of other, please e-mail us (by clicking here) and let us know. We are trying to keep our Covid-19 Response page updated with this information as well as other information. |

Parish Picture Challenge
How are you preparing your space to celebrate the Mass? Do you use candles? Prepare your chairs? We would love to see how our parish family is celebrating even if we're distant from each other. If you have a picture, please feel free to send it to info@ascensioncatholic.net. If not, take a minute to snap one this coming Sunday and send it next week!
Keep watching our website and Facebook page to see how we still are praying as an Ascension family!
